Nepal’s Securities Board (SEBON) has approved an initial public offering (IPO) for Him Parvat Hydropower Company, ending a gap of about six months since the regulator’s previous IPO approval.
The company will issue shares worth Rs 1.69 billion at a face value of Rs 100 per share. SEBON’s board of directors granted the approval, according to a report by Ratopati.
IPO approval ends six-month gap
The last IPO approval was granted to Everest Color on Baisakh 2 by then-SEBON chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha. Him Parvat Hydropower’s approval marks the latest step in the company’s plan to offer shares to investors.
