Ramjivi Panth has announced his candidacy for central member of the Nepali Congress at the party's 15th General Convention. He is seeking to represent the America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand region.
The candidacy follows a change in the party's revised statute, which for the first time allocated a quota for central members from its foreign relations committees. Six central members will be elected from these committees under the revised provision.
Panth's aim for diaspora representation
Panth said he wants to bring the experience of the diaspora and the voices of Nepalis living abroad into the party's policy-making process.
