Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia has no plans to attack any European country, but warned that Moscow would retaliate with all weapons at its disposal if any part of Russian territory were attacked.
Speaking at the Valdai Forum on Thursday, Putin accused Western countries of escalating tensions with Russia and Europe. His remarks came in response to claims by Western leaders that Russia could be ready for war by 2029 or 2030, according to a Khabarhub report.
Warning over Kaliningrad
Putin specifically warned that Russia would use all its weapons, including nuclear arms, if its territory of Kaliningrad in the Baltic region came under direct attack.
His comments combined a denial of plans to attack Europe with a warning of a severe response to an attack on Russian territory.
