NIC Asia Bank has launched a service that allows its e-commerce payment gateway merchant customers to accept payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay, marking a first in Nepal, the bank said.
Under the service, Visa and Mastercard users of Apple Pay and Google Pay can make payments to merchants connected to NIC Asia Bank's Cybersource payment gateway.
Digital payment options for merchants
The facility is intended to make digital payments more modern, convenient and secure, according to the bank. It enables eligible customers to use Apple Pay or Google Pay when paying merchants on the bank's gateway.
The service is available to NIC Asia Bank's e-commerce payment gateway merchant customers connected to Cybersource.
