Voting to elect the Nepali Congress’s new working committee concluded on Friday, with 7,049 ballots cast out of 7,317 eligible voters, according to election committee member-secretary advocate Raju Katwal.
Ballot boxes are being sealed after voting at the National Assembly building for Bagmati Province and at Khulamanch for the other six provinces.
Presidential vote count awaits candidates’ agreement
The ballot boxes from Khulamanch will be brought to the National Assembly building. Counting for the party president’s post is set to begin after the presidential candidates reach an agreement, Katwal said.
