Nepal won the bronze medal in women's kabaddi at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, after losing 48-24 to India in the semifinal at Tokai Citizen Gymnasium.
Nepal booked its place in the semifinals with a 34-25 victory over Sri Lanka in its final group-stage match. The result secured the team a place on the podium in the tournament.

Nepal men's cricket campaign ends
Nepal also began its men's cricket campaign with a five-wicket win over Afghanistan in a Group A match at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin. After the match against Japan was washed out by rain, Nepal advanced to the quarterfinals as group winners.
