The Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs National Federation has instructed public transport operators across the country not to seat women passengers in the cabin seat next to the driver during Dashain.
Federation president Punya Prasad Sitaula, known as Saroj, asked operators not to issue tickets to women for the front cabin seat, saying the request was made on safety grounds. The directive applies to public vehicles nationwide.
