Nepal has dropped one place to 90th among 165 countries in the Economic Freedom of the World: 2026 Annual Report. The country was ranked 89th in the previous year’s report.
The report was released on October 7 by the Prosperity Foundation in collaboration with Canada’s Fraser Institute.
Nepal’s ranking
Nepal’s position fell by one place in the latest edition, which compares economic freedom across 165 countries. The report marks the 19th consecutive year the Prosperity Foundation has released the publication.
