Nepal and Russia held the third meeting of their bilateral consultation mechanism in Kathmandu on Wednesday, with senior officials from both countries leading their respective delegations. The meeting took place as Nepal and Russia mark 70 years since establishing diplomatic relations.
Nepal’s delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko led the Russian delegation during his visit to Nepal.

The meeting was the third convening of the Nepal-Russia bilateral consultation mechanism. It brought together the delegations led by Rai and Rudenko in Kathmandu.
70 years of diplomatic relations
The talks were held as Nepal and Russia mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
