The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment has formed a task force to study how the government could guarantee the purchase of chemical fertilizer produced if a factory is established in Nepal.
Agriculture, Forestry and Environment Minister Geeta Chaudhary made the ministerial decision to form the task force today. Its assignment is to identify the legal and policy arrangements needed for a buy-back guarantee.
Task force brings together government experts
The task force includes experts from the Ministries of Agriculture, Finance, Industry and Energy, as well as the Public Procurement Monitoring Office.
The study will focus on the arrangements required to assure the purchase of fertilizer produced by a chemical fertilizer factory in Nepal.
