The Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association has urged the government to stop efforts to restrict the process of sending Nepali workers to Malaysia to a small number of recruitment agencies, saying such limits could create a monopoly.
At a press conference in Kathmandu on Monday, the association said the Foreign Workers Centralized Management System (FWCMS) lists only a limited number of Nepali recruitment agencies. In a press note, it said employment in Malaysia should not be halted, but that no private institution or limited group should hold a monopoly over the worker-sending process.
Association opposes restricted recruitment access
The association called on the government to address the limited access for Nepali recruitment agencies in the Malaysia-bound worker process. It said its objection is to a monopoly, not to employment opportunities in Malaysia.
