Nepal has begun the process of establishing a tiger sanctuary to address rising human-tiger conflict, which has increased alongside the country’s growing tiger population. The National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the US-based organization The Wild Animal Sanctuary (TWAS) for the initiative.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the trust by its member-secretary, according to reports from Kathmandu on 20 Ashoj.
