Nepal and India have agreed to strengthen coordination between their security officials on border security management, information exchange and efforts to control illegal activities in border areas.
The agreement was reached at a coordination meeting held at the Jatahi border point in Nagarain Municipality-2, Dhanusha. The meeting was organised by India’s 48th Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), based in Jaynagar.
Focus on border management and information exchange
Officials discussed strengthening cooperation on border security and sharing information, as well as controlling illegal activities in border areas.
The Nepali delegation was led by Armed Police Force Inspector General Narayan Datta Paudel. The Indian side was led by the commander of the 48th Battalion SSB Jaynagar.
