NCP Expresses Regret Over Balen Shah’s Remarks in Parliament

The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) expressed regret in the House of Representatives over Prime Minister Balen Shah’s remarks, accusing him of insulting Parliament. NCP Chief Whip Yubraj Dulal said Shah had not informed the House about his visit to the United States, where he represented Nepal at the 81st UN General Assembly.

Dulal also acknowledged that Shah had addressed shared national concerns during the visit, including the effects of climate change on the Himalayas, climate justice, and the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli disasters.

NCP raises concern over Parliament

The NCP’s objection centered on the Prime Minister’s remarks and the lack of prior information to the House about his US visit. Dulal raised the concerns in the House of Representatives.

Dulal noted that Shah had discussed several issues of national importance, including:

  • Climate change impacts on the Himalayas
