Electricity supply in the Kathmandu Valley could be affected on Saturday and Sunday while the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) carries out upgrade work on a major transmission line, according to the secretariat of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha.
The NEA is replacing old conductors with higher-capacity cables on the Matatirtha-Syuchatar 132-kV transmission line. The work is intended to improve the reliability, quality and sustainability of power supply in the valley.
