Fifty-two percent of the eastern section of the Kakarbhitta-Laukahi road in Jhapa has been blacktopped under the Asian Highway project, according to the project update provided. About four months remain before the construction contract period expires.
The road is being built to connect eastern Nepal’s main trade route with the international road network.
