Japan has asked China to use appropriate and respectful language when referring to Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, according to Japan’s Foreign Ministry.
Tokyo conveyed its dissatisfaction to Beijing after a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry referred to the Japanese prime minister by her name only. Japan’s Foreign Ministry said it lodged an objection over the matter.
