Indian professor Anil Kumar Mohapatra has called for coordinated cooperation between Nepal and India to mitigate the impacts of climate change, proposing a joint mechanism that also includes China.
Mohapatra made the remarks at an interaction program in Kathmandu organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Tribhuvan University's Centre for Nepal and Asian Studies (CNAS). He described climate change as a shared concern that requires countries to work together through a joint mechanism.
Call for regional cooperation
Mohapatra urged Nepal and India to coordinate their efforts and advocated expanding that cooperation into a trilateral mechanism with China. The proposal, he said, would provide a joint framework for addressing the impacts of climate change.
