India has proposed Sudhakar Dalela as its next ambassador to Nepal and sent the agrement for his appointment. Dalela, who joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1993, has more than three decades of diplomatic experience.
The ambassadorial post became vacant after Naveen Srivastava completed his tenure and returned. Dalela has previously served as India’s ambassador to Bhutan and worked at several Indian missions abroad, including in Brasilia.
Sudhakar Dalela’s diplomatic career
Dalela entered the Indian Foreign Service in 1993. His previous assignments include:
- Serving as India’s ambassador to Bhutan
- Working at Indian diplomatic missions abroad, including in Brasilia
