The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed security personnel deployed as personal security officers (PSOs) for VIP and VVIP protection in violation of the prescribed working procedure to return to their sanctioned posts within seven days.

The instruction applies to personnel assigned to protection duties against the set procedure. The directive was reported on October 9, 2026.

Seven-day deadline for return

The ministry has set a seven-day deadline for the affected security personnel to return to their sanctioned posts. The instruction concerns deployments that do not comply with the working procedure for VIP and VVIP protection.
