Newly elected Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa said the party would not speak in favour of wrongdoers or carry the burden of anyone’s improper actions.
Addressing party workers and supporters at the party office in Sanepa on Saturday, Thapa said the law applies equally to everyone. Anyone who commits a wrong, he said, must take responsibility for it themselves.
Party will not protect members who break the law
Thapa said the Nepali Congress would not take responsibility if any of its members committed a wrong or illegal act. He reiterated that individuals must answer for their own actions rather than expect the party to carry that burden.
