Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has declared that factional groups within the party have ended, saying the party will move forward as a single organization. He made the remarks at the closing session of the Nepali Congress's 15th General Convention.
Thapa said groups previously identified with the Koirala and Poudel names no longer exist. He described the convention as a point from which all factions were finished.
Thapa warns against distributing voting slips in his name
During his address, Thapa urged party members not to distribute voting slips in his name. He warned that such slips would not be accepted.
His remarks called for the party to move ahead as one organization rather than on a factional basis.
