Former King Gyanendra Shah will observe this year’s Bada Dashain in a simple manner, according to a notice issued by the communication secretariat at Nirmal Niwas in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The notice said there will be no programme to provide tika and jamara to the public on Vijaya Dashami. The secretariat announced the decision at Nirmal Niwas.
No public tika programme on Vijaya Dashami
The announcement means members of the public will not be able to receive Dashain tika and jamara from the former king this year. The secretariat said the usual public programme would not take place.
