Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal returned to Kathmandu on Wednesday after attending the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York. Speaking to journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport, he said Nepal’s participation advanced the country’s interests and raised its diplomatic profile.
Khanal said Nepal strongly raised the issue of climate justice during the 10-day visit. He also said the Nepali delegation held more than 80 high-level and bilateral meetings and established diplomatic relations with three new countries.
