The Citizen Investment Trust and Everest Hospital have signed an agreement to provide subsidised health services to the Trust’s participants, employees, their dependent families and members. Under the deal, those affiliated with the Trust will receive a 20 percent discount on hospital bills and laboratory tests, and a 10 percent discount on operation theatre and pharmacy bills. The agreement was signed by the Trust’s acting executive director, Hemanta Pokharel, and the hospital’s assistant administrator, Yadav Prasad Dhungel.
Discounts for Trust-affiliated people
The agreement sets out two discount levels for services covered by the arrangement. A 20 percent reduction will apply to hospital bills and laboratory tests, while operation theatre (OT) and pharmacy bills will receive a 10 percent reduction. The distinction means that the discount depends on the type of bill: the higher rate applies to hospital charges and laboratory testing, and the lower rate applies to OT and pharmacy charges.
The stated beneficiaries include the Trust’s participants, employees, their dependent families and members. The arrangement therefore extends beyond Trust employees alone, covering several groups connected to the institution. Those eligible can access the specified subsidised services at Everest Hospital, according to the agreement.
The two rates apply to different categories of charges rather than a single uniform discount across every listed service. For people using more than one type of service, the relevant rate will depend on whether the charge is for a hospital bill, laboratory test, OT service or pharmacy purchase. The agreement’s stated terms identify these categories and their respective reductions.
Agreement signed by Trust and hospital officials
Pokharel signed the agreement on behalf of the Citizen Investment Trust in his capacity as acting executive director. Dhungel signed for Everest Hospital as its assistant administrator. Their signatures formalised the arrangement between the institution and the hospital for discounted services to the Trust’s affiliated groups.
The deal links the Trust’s participants, employees, dependent families and members with a hospital service discount arrangement. Its central provision is the reduction in bills for specified health services. The coverage includes both treatment-related charges and laboratory tests, as well as separate discounts for OT and pharmacy bills.
The agreement’s announced terms provide the discount rates and identify the groups covered, but do not specify additional details such as the duration of the arrangement or any procedures beneficiaries must follow to claim the reductions. The stated terms are the 20 percent discount on hospital bills and laboratory tests and the 10 percent discount on OT and pharmacy bills.
