Biratnagar Water Project to Supply More Than 100 Million Litres Daily

Biratnagar’s Greater Water Supply Project is expected to supply more than 100 million litres of drinking water daily once it becomes operational. Residents are expected to receive water through the new system before Dashain.

The project is being implemented with a grant of about Rs 2.54 billion from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Its main construction work has already been completed.

Water supply in Biratnagar

The new system is intended to provide drinking water to residents of Biratnagar Metropolitan City. Once operational, it will have the capacity to supply more than 100 million litres daily.
