Aren Rai, chief whip of the Shram Sanskriti Party and a member of the House of Representatives, has warned the government against undermining democracy, federalism, secularism and inclusion after the parliamentary session ended.
Speaking at Thursday’s House of Representatives meeting, Rai questioned the government’s claims of good governance, pointing to cases in which people accused of corruption are sometimes arrested and sometimes released. He cautioned officials against making arbitrary decisions once the session is over.

He urged the government not to take steps that undermine democracy, federalism, secularism or inclusiveness.
