Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Bhishmaraj Angdembe has urged the party not to split or divide ideologically, warning that Nepal could face an accident or a Ukraine-like situation at any time.
Addressing the closed session of the Nepali Congress general convention in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Angdembe said the country was going through a difficult period and the party needed to remain united.
Angdembe calls for unity
Angdembe warned that forces gaining ground through algorithms and cheap popularity could push the country into a crisis. He said the Nepali Congress must not break away or allow ideological divisions to weaken it during this complex period.
He stressed that party unity was important as the country faced difficult circumstances.
