Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi will not travel to Japan to attend the cricket final at the 2026 Asian Games, the council said in a statement issued on Friday.
India and Pakistan are set to play for the men's cricket gold medal on Saturday. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will compete for the bronze medal earlier in the day.

The ACC announced Naqvi's decision from Kathmandu on October 2. The statement did not provide a reason for his absence.
