A delegation of 60 Israeli volunteers from the NGO Heroes for Life has completed a volunteering program at eight government and public schools in Kathmandu and Lalitpur.
The program introduced fun and creative learning activities designed to encourage students to think outside the box. Volunteers also helped renovate school spaces through painting and the creation of artistic murals.
Program activities in schools
The volunteers worked with students and schools across the two districts, combining learning activities with practical improvement work. The program included:
- Creative activities to encourage students to think outside the box
- Painting at the participating schools
- Creating artistic murals
Engagement with Down Syndrome Society Nepal
The delegation also held a two-day engagement with the Down Syndrome Society Nepal as part of its visit.
