Nepali Congress Senior Vice President Vishwaprakash Sharma has congratulated Gagan Thapa on his election as the party’s president, saying the party’s journey has begun but its goal has yet to be achieved.
Sharma stressed the need to bring differing opinions within the Nepali Congress together as the party moves forward. He also urged members to address past weaknesses while remaining honest to the party’s history and continuing to pursue its achievements.
Sharma calls for unity and reflection
In his message to Thapa, Sharma emphasized that the leadership transition should be treated as the start of a journey, rather than the completion of the party’s objectives. He called for unity across differing views within the party.
Sharma also said the Nepali Congress should learn from and correct its past weaknesses while respecting its history and building on what it has achieved.
