Koshi Province Chief Parshuram Khapung has prorogued the ninth session of the Koshi Provincial Assembly, effective from midnight, the Office of the Province Chief announced.
The session was ended on the recommendation of the provincial government in accordance with Article 183 (2) of the Constitution. The announcement was made in a statement issued from Biratnagar.

The prorogation formally brings the Assembly’s ninth session to a close. The Office of the Koshi Province Chief confirmed the decision in its statement.
