Restoring flood- and landslide-damaged structures, paved road sections and bridges along the Besisahar-Chame road in Lamjung is expected to cost about Rs 1 billion, according to the Dumre-Besisahar-Chame Road Project.
Project chief Satish Subedi said a separate proposal for the restoration work has been sent to the concerned ministry. The project has also forwarded a proposal for a full upgrade of the road from Besisahar to Chame.
Full road upgrade estimated at Rs 3 billion
The broader upgrade of the Besisahar-Chame road is estimated to cost Rs 3 billion, separate from the Rs 1 billion required to restore damage caused by floods and landslides.
Proposals for both the restoration work and the full road upgrade have been submitted to the ministry.
