The Prithvi Highway’s Majhimtar section in Dhading district will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 11 am to 2 pm on Monday, the District Administration Office, Dhading, has announced. The three-hour closure is required for construction of a sky bridge and road upgrading work at Majhimtar in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-9.

Closure at Majhimtar

The closure applies to the highway section at Majhimtar, which lies within Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-9. During the scheduled period, vehicles will not be able to pass through the affected section. The restriction is set to begin at 11 am and end at 2 pm on Monday.

The District Administration Office said the work is being carried out in line with a notice from the Nagdhunga–Mugling Road Project’s western section. The notice identifies construction and upgrading activity as the reason for stopping traffic.

Sky bridge and road upgrading work

The planned works include construction of a sky bridge as well as upgrading the road. The project-related activity will take place along the Majhimtar section of the Prithvi Highway, prompting authorities to temporarily halt all vehicular movement while the work is under way.

The administration’s announcement sets a defined three-hour window for the closure. It does not provide details about specific traffic arrangements during that period or identify an alternative route. Drivers planning to travel through Majhimtar on Monday should take the stated closure hours into account.

Notice to highway users

The restriction is limited to the Majhimtar section and the announced time window, from 11 am to 2 pm. The notice does not specify whether the work could continue beyond those hours or provide further information about the project schedule.

The closure follows the notification issued by the Nagdhunga–Mugling Road Project, western section, and was communicated by the District Administration Office, Dhading. Highway users can check with local authorities for any subsequent updates before travelling through the area.
